Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC)
The SAC provides input and advocacy for the programme. Members are cross-sector experts in AMR. The committee provides advice and guidance to the JSB and JPMB on the strategic direction of the programme. Our SAC are not involved in the peer-review of applications for funding and do not provide recommendations on which research projects we should fund.
Scientific Projects Advisory Group (SPAG)
SPAG members are experts in AMR research and development. They provide scientific review and assessment of research proposals as part of our funding call process and ongoing portfolio monitoring. They provide recommendations and advice to the JPMB. If necessary, more than one SPAG will be convened during the programme to complement the funding round at the time (e.g. therapeutics and diagnostics). Antibacterial Therapeutics SPAG.
AMR Community Representatives Committee (ACRC)
The voices of people with lived experience of AMR are integral to PACE. The ACRC reviews proposals from a patient and public perspective, providing insight, input and feedback to applications submitted as part of our funding calls and as part of ongoing portfolio delivery. In this way we are promoting a more person-centred approach to PACE funded research, resulting in better outcomes for all.
We partnered with Vocal, a non-profit patient and public involvement and engagement organisation that specialises in connecting people to health research, to assemble the ACRC. Vocal hosts a network of people affected by AMR, as either patients or carers, and to date 13 members of this AMR community are involved in the ACRC. Learn more about Vocal and the AMR network.
